During our first call, and further discussions from there, let us know what kind of experiences you are looking for in Japan. While we do create all sorts of thematic tours to Japan, the best tours are ones that we co-create together.
Many adventures to Japan tend to focus on the cities that we have heard about, either on-line or through friends who have had their own trips here. Places like Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka are known to most people coming to Japan for the first time. But for YOUR adventure, let’s make sure that while we are checking off the iconic and traditional, we also keep some space for an adventure that is “just for you”.
The way in which we do this is through an initial contact either by email and then via phone call or messaging. You let us know the dates you are arriving and departing, the places which are “must haves” on your plan, and then tell us about you. We are interested to know what kinds of things spark your curiosity and interest. Do you love music and art? Are you a sportsperson? Are you interested in architecture, Japanese craft and traditions, food and drink, hiking, cycling, visiting the sea or climbing a mountain? Are you interested in urban adventures or rural strolls? What kind of pace are you looking for? Are you traveling as a solo adventurer, or a couple, or a group of friends, or a family?
We really take our time and pull in all our resources to make this an adventure that is made for everyone – so we should talk and get to know each other a little more too. Once we have an outline of what you would like to do we will also discuss the kinds of accommodations you are seeking as well. We can arrange a wide selection of different kinds of places to stay. From luxury hotels, to boutique locations, to Japanese inns with onsen baths, to even overnight temple stays and trains that rumble through the night over the landscape – we have some options!
Our mission is to make your Japan adventure “un-Google-able”. When you travel with us, you will not be doing the typical on-line-bookable tour that looks like everyone else’s Instagram. This journey is for you to explore, and to be the main protagonist in the adventure ahead. This is your story, and together we craft each chapter.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations are subject to the following penalties of the full trip price:
- 30% non-refundable deposit due at the time of confirmation
- 60-46 days prior to arrival: 50% no refund
- 45-31 days prior to arrival: 75% no refund
- 30 days or less prior to arrival: 100% no refund

We accept all credit cards (MasterCard, Visa, American Express) and wire transfers*.
*Discounts apply when paying via wire transfer.
Payment Terms
We do require a non-refundable deposit of 30% in case of cancellation upon agreement of itinerary and costing.
Final balance is due 60 days prior to arrival
*Deposit amount subject to change based on domestic flights included and/or peak season travel dates.
