While Tokyo and Kyoto are astonishing – breath-taking, in fact, there is still so much to do and see and experience in Japan. One area where we have some very particular expertise, is pilgrimage. As a company, we have long been advisors for NPOs, temples, and pilgrimage associations here in Japan as consultants and advisors. Having completed pilgrimages ourselves, we know in some intimate detail the path that awaits. But each path is different just as each pilgrim is different.
Allow us the opportunity to bring your clients for a day or two or more on a pilgrim’s path. There is enlightenment ahead, and it is a very rare and special chance to come in contact with such an ancient cultural experience. We can help your clients become equipped as pilgrims and give some guidance about some of the procedures and things to know before they head out for their walk.
Working with two pilgrimages in Japan- The Kumano Kaido and the 88 Buddhist Temple Pilgrimage of Shikoku, we arrange for guides, huge amounts of information and background on the experiences, pilgrim attire – including headwear and staff, and arrange for all accommodations along the way. Each day walking can be determined by the client in consultation – from half-day experience, to weekend escape, to full-on pilgrimage.
